Job Description:

Under the day-to-day leadership of the Manager, Enrolment Services the operator is responsible for answering calls and directing them to the correct Algonquin College staff or department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Answer calls speaking clearly, distinctly, and with a friendly, courteous tone;
Uses listening skills to put callers at ease and obtains accurate, complete information;
Complete research on Algonquin College directory or website to research correct contact information;
Redirects calls to appropriate staff or department within Algonquin College;
Escalates any potential issues to the Manager
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent;
Minimum six (6) months preferable experience in a contact centre or receptionist environment
Anticipated Weekly Schedule:
Monday to Friday 24 for hours per week between the hours of 8:30AM to 4:45PM
