As a key member of the Production Control Department, the Materials Assistant will support the various positions within the department which include shipping, receiving, inventory management, container management and monthly report generation.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Facilitate the shipping of products utilizing EDI, SAP, MRP systems and customer portals, as required
  • Receive products and coordinate deliveries
  • Prepare loads for shipment
  • Maintain 5S
  • Assist with other projects within the company as assigned
  • Prepare daily md monthly reports as needed
  • Cycle count and root cause discrepancies
  • Data entry and conciliation of wip and end item dunnage
  • Material Handler interaction and communication
  • Daily registration of customer shipments
  • Serves as backup to Receiving Coordinator and Logistics Coordinator
  • Provides Support to PC Leads as necessary for data entry and safety data collection
  • Other Production Control duties as required

Qualifications:


  • Minimum 3 years proven experience as a logistics coordinator or similar role, including overseas shipments and/or demonstrated work experience/internal training/testing.
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, and ISO requirements
  • Computer savvy with working knowledge of logistics software/SAP
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effective both verbally and in writing with a wide range of office/plant team members, management, senior executives, and external parties.
  • Strong work ethic and sense of responsibility
  • Outstanding organization, time management, multitasking, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Intuitive, able to anticipate needs and respond with a sense of urgency.
  • Actionoriented, flexible, dedicated and committed.
