Job Requirements


The Human Resources Coordinator reports to the VP Human Resources and works as a member of the HR team to provide assistance across all areas of HR.

The HR Coordinator has a high level of administrative responsibility, and acts as the first point of contact for internal and external contacts.

This role is exposed to all facets of HR and must be able to handle a variety of situations, while maintaining positive composure and confidentiality, at all times.


PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Act as first point of contact in the HR department for managers and employees, as well as external calls.
  • Manage, track and maintain accurate data records in our HR systems (including but not limited to ADP Workforce Now, People Soft and HR downloads).
  • Acts as the point of contact for short term disability forms and correspondence with employees and our third party provider.
  • Works closely with Compliance by administering training modules as applicable, the 'Responsible Persons' requirements, attestations and maintaining accurate records.
  • Administer onboarding procedures and conduct HR orientation for any new hire, rehire and change of employment status.
  • Provide support to the VP, Human Resources on a variety of tasks
  • Coordinate and monitor the tuition reimbursement program and referral program.
  • Verify, track and monitor department monthly budget and expenditures, and assists in the annual department budget; prepare all department accruals, process invoices for payment, prepare requisitions, laisse with various agencies, etc.
  • Respond to general correspondence including but not limited to reference checks, employee files, employee verification letters and enquires from Employment Insurance etc.
  • Support HR team on various projects, investigate inquiries; support Managers and employees with policy & procedure questions; record & verify compensation information; maintain & update employee files.
  • Monitor and manage human resources data records as required by company Records Retention policy.
  • Create and maintain recurring and adhoc reporting including but not limited to monthly turnover reports, headcount reports and other reports as requested.
Work Experience


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Bilingual (French/English) strongly preferred
  • A bachelor's degree, certificate in Human Resources or CHRP designation an asset
  • Minimum 25 years previous experience in a similar role, supporting a team, in a fastpaced environment.
  • Selfdisciplined, highly organized, with a keen attention to detail
  • Payroll/ PeopleSoft/ ADP Workforce Now systems experience a definite asset
  • Previous experience with budgets, accruals and invoice payment
  • Able to multitask with multiple distractions, and maintain a positive demeanour
  • Comfortable working in an ever changing and evolving environment
