FUND DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Reporting to the CEO, this full-time position is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating all fundraising activities to build our fund development activities into a sustainable giving program that aligns with our exciting new 10-year vision plan.
Key responsibilities of this position:
- Oversees the overall growth strategy, developing fund development plans, as well as having direct handson involvement in all fundraising programs and activities.
- Initiates development activities including meetings with prospective donors and sponsors and stewards meaningful relationships with them.
- Works closely with the Communication and Marketing Officer to create compelling material for donor cultivation and annual giving, planned giving programs, direct mail, and donor events.
- Ensures donors receive professional and timely information regarding the impact of their philanthropy.
- Oversees all fundraising activities including special events and third party fundraising.
- Minimum of three to five years fund development experience including annual and planned giving programs, donor prospect identification, solicitation, stewardship, and data base management.
- Relevant postsecondary education or related business experience in fund development.
- Member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP)
- Experience developing annual fund development plans, writing grant proposals, and conducting research.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful fundraising programs.
- Experience working with volunteers and leveraging their skills.
- Strong organizational, relationship management, communication, event planning and implementation, and budget management skills.
