- Two years' experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in the areas of direct patient care, nutrition screening, diet modifications, and patient education preferred.
- Successful completion of a recognized Dietetic Technician program (or equivalent, e.g. Bachelor of Science Degree, Human Nutritional Sciences) required.
- Membership with the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management is recommended.
- Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values.
- Must have a basic knowledge of nutrition and therapeutic nutrition interventions.
- CBORD Diet Office knowledge preferred.
- Must demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, effective organizational skills, independent work practices, initiative and flexibility, critical analysis skills, and computer literacy and proficiency.
- Good physical and mental health.
- Position requires a high degree of patience and interest in the special needs of people with illnesses.
