Imperial Dade Canada, leading national distributor, has a job open in Vancouver. Distribution center on-site operations leader responsible for all aspects of the operation inclusive of distribution, transportation, and facility maintenance.Imperial Dade is the leading distributor of foodservice packaging, facilities maintenance supplies and equipment in the U.S and Canada.
As a provider of customized supply chain solutions, the company serves customers in many business-to-business market segments including supermarkets, healthcare facilities, universities, and restaurants.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise all warehouse, delivery, administrative, and maintenance employees and function.
- Ensure customer orders are accurately filled and delivered on time.
- Manage all operational functions according to company policy/procedures.
- Implement company initiatives within facility as required.
- Develop and monitor warehouse, delivery, and administrative operational budget.
- Establish business plan/manage business to achieve budget goals.
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment for all employees.
- Communicate company safety standards to all employees.
- Monitor employee work performance to ensure compliance with all federal and corporate safety regulations/policies.
- Establish, develop, and maintain a positive and balanced employee relations atmosphere in the facility.
- Support and encourage all Human Resources policies and programs to promote employee wellbeing.
- Interface with Business/Sales Managers, Purchasing/Customer Service regarding customer service/inventory related matters.
- Drive operational efficiencies through utilization of available performance metrics and productivity tools.

Required Skills:
- Exceptional leadership and supervisory skills
- Effective communication skills to distribute work, provide feedback, coach and mentor.
- Knowledge of safety procedures, standards and legislation to ensure company and employees comply with requirements.
- Excellent judgement, analytical and problemsolving skills to address various operational and employee situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills to positively motivate employees.
- Ability to effectively interact with individuals all levels of the organization.
- Experience working in a Unionized environment.
Required Experience/Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience; college degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing a large distribution facility.
