The Service and Repair will be responsible for general organization of after-market service and performing work, repairs, training and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
Mechanical and electrical ability to:
- Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics onto products utilizing safe and proper tools and techniques: install various accessories (decals, mud flaps, cameras, lights)
- Read a drawing to measure and cut/drill fix various brackets parts and assemblies into place
- Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical components (both from drawings and from own experience); review and utilize all electrical and hydraulic diagrams to perform repairs identified during the troubleshooting process.
- Utilize comprehensive knowledge and special equipment required to complete work in the assigned job function, including but not limited to all torque tools, DC tools, brake bleeders, AC chargers and cab testers.
Personal ability to:
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with safety procedures, rules, and proper 5S standards
- Maintenance of inventory (product, tools, and information)
- Assist in driving back defects to the point of origin along with identifying and assisting in implementation of corrective action(s); validate machine(s) configuration is aligned to customer expectation and properly complete QC processes and other documentation.
Organizational ability and personality to:
- Interact with other members of the company (in a positive manner) to ensure that the unique requirements of the area are communicated. For example, you may need to order parts and will need to communicate deadlines and urgency.
- Potential travel to customer sites to perform repairs, troubleshooting, training, etc.
Minimum Qualification:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to interpret and understand drawings, instructions, manuals, etc. to effectively perform job tasks
- Willingness to learn
- Able to/willing to learn how to operate a truck and transport from one area of the property to another
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience (5+ years) working in a service and repair environment, preferably with heavy equipment, ideally in a trucking environment.
