This is a 12-month
mandate
in Bogota, Colombia
.
The mandate is under the Equality in Action Volunteer Cooperation Program (VCP), which takes place in 14 countries and 3 regions over a seven-year period


The VCP aims to increase the involvement of local partners in developing countries in inclusive, innovative and sustainable development initiatives that will advance gender equality.

Oxfam's role is to support these organizations, working with the most vulnerable and marginalized people, to claim and exercise their rights.

Oxfam places the rights of women, girls, and vulnerable and marginalized people at the heart of everything we do.


Here's what your daily life will look like:
In close collaboration with Oxfam's in-country team members, your mandate will be to:

  • Provide support to the Oxfam Colombia team for the administrative and programmatic aspects of the VCP, as well as to volunteer cooperants and VCP partner organizations by coordinating the management of the Volunteer Cooperation Program and participating in the development of key program tools (such as the Annual Work Plan, Strengthening Plans etc...);
  • Organize training workshops on the VCP for partner organizations, including its objectives, indicators and targets, administrative and financial policies and procedures, and how partners can be supported throughout the process;
  • Facilitate the integration of new development workers in coordination with the Oxfam Colombia team and provide them with training on VCP;
  • Be the main point of contact with the Oxfam-Québec program team;
  • Organize workshops with partner organizations, using the tools provided (such as the selfdiagnosis and strengthening plan) and adopting a feminist approach;
  • Support partner organizations to develop initiatives that can be financed by the

PCV:
these contribute to strengthening their organizational capacities in terms of project design and management.


For this mandate you must:


  • Be a Canadian citizen or have permanent resident status in Canada;
  • Have university degree in project management or other relevant field;
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in preparing and managing budgets and writing accountability reports;
  • Be fluent in Spanish, spoken and written (required);
  • Master the Office suite.

El PCV tiene como objetivo aumentar la participación de las socias locales en los países en desarrollo a través de iniciativas de desarrollo inclusivo, innovadoras y sostenibles que promoverán la igualdad de género.

El papel de Oxfam consiste en apoyar a estas organizaciones, trabajando con las personas más vulnerables y marginalizadas, para que revindiquen y ejerzan sus derechos.

Esto es lo que será su vida diaria:
En estrecha colaboración con los miembros del equipo de Oxfam en el país, su mandato consistirá en:

  • Brindar apoyo al equipo de Oxfam Colombia en los aspectos administrativos y programáticos del PCV, así como a los voluntarios y organizaciones socias del PCV, coordinando la gestión del Programa de Cooperación Voluntaria y participando en el desarrollo de herramientas clave del programa (como el Plan Anual de Trabajo, los Planes de Fortalecimiento, etc.);
  • Organizar talleres de formación sobre el PCV para las organizaciones socias, incluyendo sus objetivos, indicadores y metas, políticas y procedimie
