The Clinical Systems and Informatics (CSI) team_** is the department responsible at Trillium Health Partners (THP) for supporting Epic as the hospital's integrated Hospital Information System (HIS) since October 2020.

The departments mandate is the integration of clinical practice, education, technology, information management, and data to assist in the management of THP's HIS.

The CSI Team applies the principles of clinical informatics to inform, advise and guide the strategy for the HIS design, build and training.

A people, process and technology based approach is used to create a comprehensive, safe, evidenced based system to support THP's mission of a new kind of healthcare for a healthier community.


The team consists of Application Analysts, Clinical Informaticians/Analysts, Trainers and Business Intelligence Analysts who work in collaboration with clinical and non-clinical staff.


The CSI Department is within the Quality, Risk and Practice Division and focuses on improving the experience for both the patient and the clinician.


The Position:


The Co-op student is a highly motivated individual that will be responsible for supporting work streams of medium to high complexity.

The Co-op student will collaborate with members of the CSI team to support in planning, managing, implementing, and delivering projects to successfully meet requirements.

Working across 3 hospital sites, this position will report directly to the Director of Clinical Informatics.

Here's what you will get to do:_**- Support the creation of project deliverables with appropriate reviews and approvals

  • Collaborate with the CSI team with the planning, implementation and delivery of work packages
  • Provide assistance to the team to oversee and guide stakeholders through change according to impact on process, technology, policy and people
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting as required
  • Create PowerPoint presentations, communications, info graphics, and other project documents to support implementation

Key Criteria:


  • Strong analytical capabilities, strategic thinking and business acumen
  • Strong familiarity with related management software, such as, MS Office is preferred
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (both verbal and written) ability to articulate analytical results and tell a story
  • Experience at working both independently and in a teamoriented, collaborative environment is essential
  • Ability to work under pressure with changing priorities in a complex environment
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently handle several tasks simultaneously
  • Positive friendly manner and customer service approach that will enable you to deal with challenging situations with integrity, empathy and sincerity
