RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre.

Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University.

The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position summary
We are seeking a clinical research coordinator with experience in promoting equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) in research.

The clinical research coordinator will be implementing the EDI plan and conducting qualitative research for a multicentre research study and research team involving all pediatric hospitals across Canada.

General Duties

  • Assisting in the planning and delivery of EDI activities,
  • Assisting in writing study protocols and manuscripts,
  • Managing the procedures with the Research Ethics Board and Contracts Office (e.g. protocol approvals, amendments, and annual renewals),
  • Collaborating with national research team,
  • Administering questionnaires,
  • Collecting data qualitative and quantitative,
  • Analysis of qualitative and quantitative data,
  • Reviewing the literature (including systematic reviews and metaanalysis),
  • Helping to oversee volunteers and trainees.
  • Assisting in knowledge translation activities

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's in related field of study,
  • Previous work experience in clinical research is essential,
  • Previous experience with qualitative research is essential,
  • Strong communication skills in both French and English (spoken and written) is essential,
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills,
  • Ability to work independently and in a team,
  • Ability to multitask,
  • Previous experience with RI-MUHC is an asset,
  • Previous experience with working with multicultural communities is an asset,
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and qualitative software (Word, Excel, NVivo

Status:
Temporary, part-time (7 to 14-hour workweek)

Commensurate with education and experience

CORE research office (5252 de Maisonneuve O.) and at distance
