SUMMARY
We have an opportunity to join a Value Stream in the Landing Systems business in Oakville, Ontario Canada.

This role reports to the Associate Director of Boeing Commercial Landing Gear Programs is responsible for two mid-sized programs specifically serving Boeing.

Accountable for the full lifecycle of products and services from inception through completion. Inclusive of pursuit and order capture, production to deliver, and service/support.

Ensures the Integrated Product Team (IPT) is effective at managing the contract lifecycle, cost, schedule, performance and on-time delivery of company programs or subsystems of major programs.

Serves as the face of the organization to clients and customers.

Has profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility for a specified value stream or group of value streams within a business segment or portfolio.


This position is a Hybrid role

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a commercial landing gear program using CMS methodology, supported by an integrated cross functional team in Landing Systems' matrix organization, while ensuring adherence to program plans, schedules, and budgets for the program under his/her responsibility.
  • Liaise and coordinate with customers to ensure contractual obligations and deliverables are negotiated, accepted, and achieved.
  • Support the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization's interests.
  • Generates a strong focus within the team on customer relationships and the delivery of the program's internal objectives.
  • Consolidate and present plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the program to monitor/manage valuestream performance. For example, tracking the financial performance of products and driving to improve their financial contribution to the business.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality within the program.
  • Identifies and react to program challenges (risk management) and recommend appropriate solutions to minimize or eliminate the impact to the Landing Systems business.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
  • Strong program management and communication skills in a matrix environment dealing with complex programs, ideally within the commercial aerospace industry.
  • Knowledge of the product lifecycle
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methods and processes
  • Ability to work independently under limited supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with numerous stakeholders.
  • High level of initiative, motivation and strong desire to achieve.
