This position contributes to Starbucks success by supporting process clarity, driving program and agency management as part of the team responsible for cross-functional marketing planning and execution of seasonal campaigns.

As a manager, marketing operations, you will:

  • Serve as primary project management contact for multiple highly complex and visible seasonal marketing campaign work and lead cross functional team(s) to manage programs or projects through the entire process from inception to completion
  • Manage and monitor project or program schedules, progress, and costs to ensure expected results are delivered on time and within budget, with the ability to anticipate & mitigate challenges and escalate risk when necessary to successfully gain alignment on best path forward
  • Develop and manage strong client relationships across all assigned external businesses and internal teams to flawlessly execute campaign work and optimize processes to further meet/exceed Starbucks Canada standards. This includes, understanding the essential dynamics, strategies, and drivers of assigned client businesses to "connect the dots" and provide valueadd counsel on overall marketing and communication strategy and execution
  • Contribute to process optimizations to improve business planning, cross functional communication, work integration and teamwork between partners from crossfunctional departments to achieve KPIs
  • Lead relationships with creative agencies & internal partners to ensure successful briefs and guide work through the creative development, production, and delivery process, laddering up to overarching gotomarket timelines
  • Partner with crossfunctional team to track success metrics and program performance measures to evaluate program effectiveness and to integrate learnings into future initiatives

Qualifications -

We'd love to hear from people with:

  • Project Management including all elements of scope, time, cost, risk, quality, integration, resources, and communications
  • Planning & Orchestration: Strong project leadership in a cross functional environment with multiple stakeholders and driving results through a team
  • Marketing functional knowledge of marketing to help manage internal teams and creative agencies through entire creative process effectively
  • Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively lead and communicate with stakeholders across functions, levels and borders
  • Education: 4year degree preferred, PMP considered but not required
Industry Experience: 3- 5 years managing projects. Experience in retail / QSR is an asset, but not required

  • Strong communication skills complimented by the desire to develop a cohesive team committed to working together and completing the project to the best of their ability
  • Have a passion for adding organization and structure to project work, be comfortable managing multiple projects, facilitating working sessions and status meetings
  • Ability to build collaborative cross functional relationships with internal and external business partners
  • Strong business acumen to support problemsolving and analytical skills and confidently lead others through change and ambiguity
  • Knowledge and ongoing curiosity of the marketing and project management industries to support optimizations/evolutions
  • Ability to flex leadership style to effectively manage large crossfunctional teams consisting of diverse people/skillsets
  • Ability to positively contribute to the Starbucks culture by genuinely and consistently living our missions and values
  • Enjoy working on an energetic, fun team and have a clear ability to drive the business forward as part of a highly collaborative team, while acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles
