Description

Eaton's Electrical Sector is currently seeking a Custom Order Product Specialist to join our Engineering team. This position is based at our Milton, Ontario manufacturing plant.

Position Overview:


In this function you will:


  • Review incoming orders for the accuracy of design and compliance to customer specifications and resolve potential discrepancies.
  • Support the commercial aspects of the order, which may include meeting with internal/external customers to approve/revise drawings, support final inspections and/or witness tests, and provide customers with documentation packages.
  • Provide technical and engineering support for complex products to production, marketing, customer service, sales force, field service teams, warranty administrator, and customers.
  • Prepare approval/construction/asbuilt drawings.
  • Develop the necessary wiring diagrams as required.
  • Generate bills of material to satisfy order requirements.
  • Maintain bills of material in the ERP system, incorporating any customer changes.
  • Align priorities to capacity planning tool milestone dates, ensuring timely upkeep.
  • Coordinate and successfully execute assigned Engineered to Order (ETO) or Configured To Order (CTO) product orders, adhering to project timelines while effectively managing multiple and complex projects.
  • Other duties as required that support the attainment of the department and operational goals.

Qualifications:


Required (Basic) Qualifications:


  • University degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or Technology.
  • Minimum three (3) years of engineering experience using and interpreting the Canadian Electrical Code.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
  • No relocation is provided.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Certified Electrical Technologist or Professional Engineering designation.
  • Knowledge in programming and troubleshooting PLC & HMIbased systems.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing plant.
  • Lean Six Sigma green or black belt.

Position Criteria:


  • Demonstrated competence in using AutoCAD Electrical or other schematic/circuitdrawing software.
  • Understanding of design for manufacturing and lean six sigma principles.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
