    The Office of the Registrar is responsible for student recruitment and admissions, direct and online service to current students, including registration, financial aid, scholarships, academic assessments, graduation and petitions. It also provides course scheduling, administration of tests and exams, enrolment data analysis and business intelligence.

    Your opportunity:

    Working under the general direction of the Associate Registrar & Director of Student Services, you will be responsible for acting as the first point of contact for general enquiries. As the TCard Assistant, you will provide administrative support by updating and maintaining database records, providing detailed information on registration procedures, eligibility requirements, and deadlines. You will provide students with advising on matters including legal status, fee assessment status, registration procedures, and general campus information. You will identify changes to student records that affect academic status and correcting the status as required. You will be responsible for Identifying and resolving individual data anomalies and discrepancies. This role will handle fees or fines and issue receipts on a limited basis. As the TCard Assistant, you will be a resource for student staff performing similar functions.

    Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for general enquiries
  • Updating and maintaining database records
  • Providing detailed information on registration procedures
  • Providing detailed information on eligibility requirements, procedures and deadlines
  • Identifying changes to student records that affect academic status and correcting status as required
  • Identifying and resolving individual data anomalies and discrepancies
  • Handling fees or fines and issuing receipts on a limited basis
  • Serving as a resource to others by providing (non-supervisory) job-related guidance
  • Essential Qualifications:

  • Advanced College Diploma (3 years) or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three years of recent and related administrative experience, preferably within a post-secondary environment.
  • Experience verifying the accuracy and completeness of documents.
  • Experience performing routine data entry and generating reports.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team centered environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong SharePoint and MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, OneNote).
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task assigned workload during peak periods.
  • Ability to maintain communication between multiple stakeholders across the tri-campus community.
