We are looking for a Supervisor, Operations within our Remarketing team to join Element Fleet Management.

As the Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing transportation logistics in the US and Canada and maintaining successful working relationships within the vendor network.

You will identify opportunities and areas of improvement for client interaction, best practices, and operational efficiencies to drive consistent metric performance improvement.

You will maintain capacity modeling throughout the teams to ensure proper allocation of work to support client service and metrics targets.

A Day in the Life

  • Supervise daytoday operations of assigned work team (13 direct reports); developing, assigning, and planning work schedules to ensure departmental goals are achieved
  • Facilitate team meetings and 1x1 check ins with individual team members to promote growth and support employee engagement
  • Provide coaching, development, substantive performance feedback, training and onboarding of new and existing team members and technical leads where applicable
  • Participate in helping set the strategy for the Remarketing Team, ensuring the team goals are aligned
  • Prioritize daily workflow along with assignments as necessary to ensure requested transactions such as client requests are handled within expected turnaround times
  • Create action plans with team, vendors, and markets to identify actionable ways to improve Balanced Scorecard Metrics. Track and monitor Client impacts to BSC metrics and operational area overlap
  • Collaborate with Vendor Network partners to track and monitor performance, identify market trends, and create action plans to improve transportation logistics in the US and Canada
  • Champion process improvements by developing or supporting enhancements to standard operating procedures and policies that ensure flawless service delivery to Element clients, maintaining a continuous improvement mindset
  • Partner with manager to establish, monitor and measure financial and performance standards
  • Analyze work volumes and, identify and forecast trends and adjust staffing to ensure departmental metrics are met or exceeded
  • Conduct rootcause analysis to identify sources of problems, act to correct specific situations and eliminate the root cause of problems. Conduct first run yield analysis and other quality measures. Plan, manage, and implement special projects and initiatives
  • Work with client directly on any escalations
  • Serve as a department liaison, modeling professional behavior, effective interactions and conduct necessary conflict resolution as necessary, leveraging a collaborative 'One Element' outcome approach

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree (Quantitative field, Finance, Business, or Technology preferred), or High School diploma with three to five years related experience, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 2 or more years of demonstrated success in supervising people in teams of 10+ employees.
  • 3 years of customer service or client contact experience and / or prior experience working in Fleet Services industry preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with the ability to lead, motivate and inspire employees to perform at their highest levels to achieve departmental goals and objectives
  • Strong organizational planning, decision making, execution and proven analytical skills required
  • Ability to work under pressure, using tact, discretion, and good judgment to respond to all requests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • PC skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Proficient skills in project management and analytics/ data & metrics interpretation
  • Ability to work a hybrid work schedule from Mississauga office 2 days per week
