Within L3HARRIS' Integrated Mission Systems Segment, is the Electro-Optical Sector - of which L3HARRIS WESCAM sits atop as the world's leading developer and integrator of gyro-stabilized EO/IR multi-spectral optics, imaging and laser tracking / targeting / designator systems.

- Gimbals Technology that employs highly coveted gyrostabilization and vibration isolation technologies to generate shudderfree images in the most demanding mobile environments.
- Electro-Optics capability that generate longrange high definition EO/IR images in a wide array of light and visibility conditions, all packaged into masted or undermount spherical turrets, ranging between 8" and 25" in diameter.
- Sensors payloads that include laser targeting, rangefinding, illumination, tracking and designation as well as Control Systems that provide precise motion control for the optical system, maintain its exact location and orientation, and orient the antennas for efficient downlink communication.
- Communications and Software
that deliver a secure, digital microwave link that allows remote operation of the camera as well as real time image processing and enhancement.

- Perform electrical/mechanical assembly on subassemblies to required quality and quantity outputs
- Perform rework/repair on electrical assemblies
- Perform parts installation, wiring and hand soldering
- Perform some optical assembly by fitting, cleaning and testing
- Working knowledge of ISO 9000, AS 9100
- Knowledge/certification in IPC standards an asset
- Knowledge and understanding of Electrical schematics and assembly drawings
- Thorough understanding of techniques in the use of lifting equipment, hand tools, soldering, crimping, wire routing, mechanical assembly and hazardous materials covered under WHMIS
- Good interpersonal and communication skills that translate to working in a team environment
- Mechanical aptitude for assembling major Electrical/optical components
- College Diploma in Electronics Technology an asset
- Experience in printed circuit board assembly and soldering through hole and surface mount technology an asset
- Handson experience in cable and harness assembly
- Mechanical assembly experience is an asset
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing
- 13 years' experience working in a high technology manufacturing environment
