Flex schedule: you will have the choice of working 10 days/8 hours or 9 days/9 hours bi-weekly.

Thomson Power Systems (a Regal Rexnord company) is a leading manufacturer of electrical products and systems for use in the Power Generation Industry for over 50 years. We have an immediate openings for various levels of ATS Assemblers.

The Electrical Assembler will be responsible for:

  • Act as a key team member to our manufacturing operation offering technical expertise for assembly of automatic transfer switches
  • Use wire termination and component layout tools including but not limited to strippers, wire cutters, wire crimpers, screwdrivers, tee square, machinist square, tape measure, wrenches and pliers.
  • Assembling control panel for emergency control according to assembly books, custom specs & quality standards
  • Mount electrical components including circuit breakers, switches, transformers, relays, contactors, terminals, input/output devices and/or all other related switchgear electrical devices.
  • Position, bolt, screw, clip, adjust or fasten parts and components together using hand, power tools, and equipment
  • Following ISO 9001 standards, practicing 5S and LEAN manufacturing Standards
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
  • Work in a safe, clean systematic manner working to C.S.A, and company quality requirements
  • Training provided

Requirements:


  • Previous experience with electrical and/or mechanical with strong analytical skills
  • Experience or training in mechanical/ industrial assembly considered an asset
  • Experience with power tools jig saws, grinders, pneumatic tools, cutters
  • Comprehension of wires sizes and corresponding carrying capacity
  • Physically fit; ability to lift 30 lbs.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Must be flexible, highly motivated, organized & show attention to details
  • Excellent work ethic

  • Handeye coordination
  • Team player
  • Familiarity with and own basic tools
  • Completely and efficiently handle any assigned job with mínimal supervision
  • Able to recommend, advise and execute on improvements to the production process (techniques, tools, panel layout, materials, etc.)
*The job of an assembler requires repetitive motions all the time, lifting, squatting, kneeling, bending, walking, torqueing, pulling, carrying, pulling, crouching, backward positions, standing for long periods etc.
