Position Summary:
Under the Campus Director's supervision, this position works with new students and is responsible for conducting student financial interviews, financial options counselling, and intake processing to ensure complete and accurate financing of student educational expenses.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct preliminary financing interviews with new students
- Inform students of their financial obligation, the institution's financial aid options, and financial policies and procedures as related to their educational expenses
- Update appropriate systems to ensure the timely processing, funding, billing, and collections of the package selected
- Monitor and follow up on the status of all pending student loan documents to maintain an accurate accounting of each student's financial aid package through first disbursement
- Provide customer service and answer student inquiries regarding financial status
- Attend and successfully complete all training for this position, as required at any time by the Company
- May participate in new student orientations, as applicable
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate Degree in Business (Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Management)
- Minimum one year experience working with Federal and Provincial Student Loan Programs
- Minimum one year experience working with third party funding agencies
- Accounts receivable experience
- Inventory control and ordering experience
- Experience working with internetbased communication tools
- Strong telephone skills
- Will observe and adhere to all Company polices and best practices and comply with related governmental regulations
- Highly motivated and be a team player
- Must have the ability to effectively organize and establish priorities
- Must have excellent communication and problem
- A Criminal Record and Social Media check will be conducted
