  • The Police Support Services Department requires a regular fulltime Community Police Office Coordinator to work in the Community Policing Unit out of the RCMP Detachment.
    Responsibilities
  • As a key contact for the Community Policing Office, you will work as part of a team to market, coordinate and administer a broad range of communitybased crime prevention programs and community policing initiatives within the City of North Vancouver. You will recruit interview, select, train, schedule and coordinate volunteers; organize volunteer and community events; monitor the Office's budget; provide clerical and administrative support to the RCMP officers associated with the Office; and provide assistance to the public, including processing Police Information Checks, maintaining files and reviewing complaints taken by volunteers. You will organize and implement community based crime prevention events and liaise with various community services agencies, government bodies and RCMP members.

Compensation
- $33.25 to $39.14 per hour- (Pay Grade 1
  • January 2024 rates)
    Hours of Work
  • Any seven (7) consecutive hours, exclusive of an unpaid onehour meal break, between the hours of 7:00am and 11:00pm, any five (5) consecutive days of seven. The City of North Vancouver currently works on a compressed work schedule, with one scheduled day off each threeweek scheduling cycle. Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends will be required from time to time to support community events.
