    Provide actuarial and administration servicing support for our Canadian and international clients in the areas of pensions, life insurance, health insurance and social security. Strong communication skills, good analytical skills, attention to detail, self-management and organization skills are required.

    Responsibilities:
    • Be responsible for data analysis, validations, and handling, using TELUS Health's internal software/systems
    • Performs data reconciliations and benefit / costing calculations.
    • Work with databases and TELUS Health's internal software/systems.
    • Prepares data and performs actuarial valuations for pension plans
    • Understand and analyze financial statements and actuarial reports for pension plans
    • Construct worksheets / databases using Excel and Access to analyze data.
    • Prepare draft reports on analyses.
    • Receive and respond to routine inquiries and requests from clients.
    • Takes direction from, and supports, team members.
    • Attend internal training sessions to build knowledge of industry topics and trends.
    • Assist with special projects, as required.
    • Become familiar with regulatory environments - legislation and policies.
    Requirements:
    • University degree in actuarial science or mathematics
    • Successful completion of at least 1 SOA exam preferred
    • Strong competency with MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and Access
    • Combination of excellent analytical and mathematical skills with strong work ethic
    • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
    • Dedicated team player, who demonstrates initiative and independence.
