Description

The Accommodations Attendant is responsible to his/her supervisor in all areas of institutional cleaning
following predetermined guidelines and routines, assisting with laundering linens and resident personal
laundry production, as well as assisting with food service duties as required. The employee is required to
operate various types of equipment related to housekeeping duties, laundry duties and food service duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma preferred
Related experience in housekeeping, laundry and food services an asset (Health Care or Lodge setting

- preferred)

Experience with institutional housekeeping materials, equipment and techniques
Capacity to read and comprehend WHIMIS and MSDS information
Food Safe Course required
First Aid required

REQUIREMENTS:

Follows cleaning schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.,) as per department**
Cleans assigned areas, furnishings, and fixtures according to policies and procedures

Receiving, storing food supplies and assist with food preparation according to policies and procedures

***- Complete daily food requisitions and delivering to all units / departments

Collect, sort, fold linens and garments
Loading and operating all washing and drying equipment
Ability to push, pull, and bend, with ability to lift up to 50lbs
Work with specialized equipment
Other related duties as assigned by Manager
