- Set up and operate CNC Lathes with minimum supervision.
- Pre-inspect parts to ensure product compliance is achievable prior to metal removal process.
- Verify tooling requirements are met in advance of commencement of each job; Bring up any issues/concerns to supervisor.
- Practice excellent general housekeeping, including but limited to his work area, chip removal, floor areas, benches, storage area to ensure a safe work environment.
- Perform daily machine checks per preventive maintenance program and safety procedures.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret, drawings, charts, tables to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product.
- Ability to select and use appropriate cutting tools and precision measuring instruments to ensure components are machined to specific tolerances and surface finishes as indicated on the drawings.
- Knowledge of Mastercam software
- Ability to use disc and die grinders by hand.
- Ability to understand tooling sounds/vibrations.
- Use overhead crane to setup and remove parts (overhead crane experience an asset).
- Motivated and able to work independently.
- Strong communication skills partnered with a positive team spirit.
- Lift approximately 20-30 lbs tools and insert into spindle/ATC.
- Move up and down 3 steps/and around the shop.
- Must be able to work Day & Afternoon shifts along with overtime as needed.
