Preferred, but not mandatory:
Call Pilot, Meridian Mail, BCM 50, 200, 400, CS1000 (release 5.0 an asset), Meridian OPT 11, NORTEL, AVAYA IPO, _AVAYA_ S8400, AVAYA G450
- Knowledge of Voice, Data, Security, and IP Telephone technologies.
- Working knowledge of telecom/network cable infrastructures.
- Good understanding of technology concepts and design, with a specific focus on store/remote architecture.
- Looking for a contractor that are based in either of these locations: Alberta, Ontario
- GTA, British Columbia, Saskatchewan
- Ordering and gathering equipment, supplies, materials, and tools that are appropriate for the installation or repair.
- Establishes voice networks by running, pulling, terminating, and splicing cables.
- Installing telecommunications equipment, routers, switches, multiplexors, cable trays.
- Establishing connections and integrations, following industry standards.
- Operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment
- Activating remote access tools.
- Coordinating with contractors.
- Verifying service by testing the equipment, identifying, correcting, or escalating problems.
- Document voice networks by labeling and routing equipment and cables.
- Comfortable with heavy lifting, climbing ladders, and working in all weather conditions
- Willingly work after hours to accommodate maintenance window work requirements.
- Be on call after hours and weekends
- Handle emergency escalations in a prompt and efficient manner
- Complete administration responsibilities accurately and timely.
Requirements:
Looking for a contractor that are based in either of these locations: Alberta, Ontario
- GTA, British Columbia, Saskatchewan
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Business Applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Have strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Excellent customer service skills, comfortable with remote/telephone support functions.
- The ability to work in both team environments and as an individual contributor.
- Available to work during regularly scheduled business hours and unscheduled evening and weekend hours as necessary.
- Willing to travel out of town (Mileage will be reimbursed)
- Vehicle registration and setup
- Vehicle expenses including maintenance, gas, registration & insurance
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on telecommunications lines and equipment.
- Perform data cabling.
- Install routers and switches.
- Install computer and network hardware.
- Install fiber optic networks.

Salary:
$35.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours:
No less than 2 per week
