"How do you live in the moment?"
The Dietary Aide reports to the Culinary Services Manager and is expected to demonstrate commitment to resident safety by preparing and/or serving meals directed by the cook for

individual residents and by providing high-quality care in accordance with the organization's vision and mission.


Responsibilities:


  • Delivers meals in a pleasant, courteous manner,
  • Assists the cook in preparing, plating and serving of food as requested,
  • Respect the Residents' likes and dislikes and adhere to their special dietary requirements,
  • Ensures that meals are an experience rather than a task,
  • Maintains serveries, tables, food storage area, fridges, and freezers,
  • Clean and reset tables and remove dirty dishes,
  • Ensures dishwasher is loaded, operated, and emptied,
  • Collaborates with all associates in Food Services and other departments
  • Supports FIFO processes
  • Vacuum and damp mop floors as needed,
  • Ensures a safe working environment,
  • Participates in education as required,
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
The qualifications needed to join our family are as follows:

  • Knowledgeable about food handling and storage
  • Ability to serve food attractively and correctly by understanding orders,
  • Mentally and physically able to perform duties as assigned,
  • Organizational and timemanagement skills,
  • Individual and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to make the most of the time you have to provide positive social interactions
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Clear vulnerable sector screening (w/ in last 6 months), recent TB test results (w/ in last 6 months) or Chest Xray (w/ in last 1 yr), and two supervisory references required.
