SUMMARY


Operate manual and automated cone, disk, or nozzle type electrostatic painting equipment to spray negatively charged paint particles onto positively charged work pieces by performing the following duties.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Activate conveyor and paint spraying equipment.

Adjust pressure and paint flow at each spray station.

Maintain specified temperature in wash tanks.


Inspect painted units for runs, sags, unpainted areas and any defects on first and last workpiece and performs periodic inspection of all paint orders per work orders.

Make required adjustments to correct flaws in coating.

Clean all excess paint from booth, conveyor, and painting equipment.

Hand sprays parts as needed.

May be required to order paint supplies.

Complete required paperwork and/or computer transactions.

Responsible for inventory accuracy.

Troubleshoot equipment if applicable.

Keep area neat, orderly, clean and in a safe condition.


QUALIFICATIONS
Prefer high school diploma or general education degree (GED). Prefer at least six (6) months experience with electrostatic powder coat paint system. Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.


WORK ENVIRONMENT**While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to airborne particles. The area can become overly warm because of the large oven. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
