VP, Marketing
Remote - Kitchener, ON
Encircle is leading the $1.6 trillion dollar property insurance industry out of the dark ages of pen and paper processes, into the digital age of transparency and empowerment.
About the Role
The VP, Marketing will be the newest member of our executive leadership team.
As we continue to scale and embark on our next phase of growth, this role will be critical in defining and developing the marketing strategy and execution plans that support and align to our growth and revenue targets.
In this role you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, customer success, product marketing, and product management, to take our B2B marketing initiatives to new heights.
You will develop and oversee the execution of creative, impactful and measurable demand generation programs to drive and nurture leads and ultimately transform contacts into customers.
The VP, Marketing will also inspire and provide strategic leadership to the broader marketing function, overseeing the execution carried out by your team.
This role offers a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on implementation, enabling you to have a direct impact on our company's continued success.
What You'll be Doing:
- Translate goals into effective integrated marketing strategies and campaigns that support the achievement of quarterly and annual goals
- Inspire, develop, support and lead a team of 8 marketing professionals that deliver against marketing goals, with clearly defined roles, career paths, succession plans, and employee success strategies.
- Contribute to building a positive corporate culture, and creating strong working relationships with team members, other departments, and leaders. Ensure the Marketing function scales through successful crosscollaboration with Sales, Strategy, and Product teams
- Lead, support, and deliver on all marketing related projects, from branding, to marketing campaigns, to cobranded partner marketing, to media planning and buying, to video production, website development and more.
- Develop and manage a global marketing budget, measuring and optimizing marketing programs to ensure activities are effective, efficient, and demonstrate ROI
- This role will require a leader with extensive experience in demand generation and your team will be responsible for:
- Managing the full lifecycle of online and offline demand generation programs, managing the demand generation calendar, developing and executing multi-channel programs while also driving inbound leads from our web properties that drive new revenue and accelerate the sales pipeline.
- Lead the strategy, development, execution, and optimization of all lead generation activity, including SEM, SEO, PPC, paid social, content syndication, and event participation for inbound and outbound programs.
What You'll Bring:
- An innovative, resultsdriven & handson execution focused leader who is capable of propelling the company into the next phase of growth; analytical, agile, performanceminded and impactful.
- Previous marketing leadership experience in B2B for SaaS or highgrowth technology startups.
- An inspiring leader with celebrated experience leading teams, providing strategic direction, support, ongoing development and ensuring execution of results. A proven track record of hiring, mentoring and retaining a high performing team
- A seasoned growth marketer with an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for creative demand generation marketing.
- Strong understanding of marketing at different stages of the entire buyer journey.
- Exceptional understanding of content and conversion strategies.
- Experience working closely with sales leadership and understanding the connection between demand generation and revenue growth in a sales quota driven environment.
- Proficient in marketing automation, accountbased marketing, data and analytics.
- A strong critical thinker who has the ability to turn high level strategies into executable plans that are grounded by customer insights. Not afraid to ask questions, take risks and champion new ideas. Offers solutions to complex challenges with creative flair.
- Is both collaborative and proficient at building positive working relationships across the business.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and communicate the vision, concepts, ideas and solutions clearly to stakeholders and internal teams.
Reporting
This role will report directly to the CEO.
