Started in 1987 by a young entrepreneur with a single truck and trailer, Steve's Livestock Transport has since grown to become a leader in the transportation industry.

With demonstrated and continued growth in our grain and livestock division, we are looking for a Dispatcher to join our Logistics team in Brandon, Manitoba.

The Role

The successful candidate will dispatch, communicate, coordinate, and troubleshoot delivery issues. A significant part of the role is building relationships with your driver team, understanding and assisting them in their daily needs to ensure success on the road.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with your team of drivers

• Ensure drivers are set up for success and have the tools they need for their work

• Dispatch drivers

• Communicate workload/schedules to drivers, including customer requirements

• Administrative tasks related to driver pay, Logistics software, permits, etc.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to work accurately and efficiently

• Proven team building and/or leadership skills

• Strong computer skills
