Business Development Manager with agricultural B2B experience to join our team


In this role you will be responsible for driving marketplace growth by acquiring new Vendors and fostering strong relationships with existing marketplace partners and suppliers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Acquires new marketplace Vendors from a determined list of prospects and leads, and develops a plan to identify new opportunities within the assigned region
  • Fosters longterm relationships with new and existing Vendors and partners, troubleshoots concerns and actively participates in problem resolution
  • Develops and presents appealing customer proposals that appropriate convey return on customer investment
  • Prepares and negotiates customer sales contracts, communicates contract terms with appropriate internal stakeholders, and records information in company systems
  • Manages and reports on sales and revenue metrics, and other related KPIs
  • Utilizes various social media and marketing platforms for the purpose of obtaining leads and driving brand awareness
  • Manages new customer implementation, manages expectations and ensures that all agreed services are being delivered
  • Ensures a seamless transition of onboarded customers to account management team
  • Remains current and knowledgeable on all products and services offered by the Company
  • Provides feedback and referral opportunities for growth in other Company products and services to the appropriate internal salesperson and/or team
  • Provides support to the sales and marketing teams on marketplace related initiatives

This role could be a fit if you have:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field, preferably in Agribusiness
  • A proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a B2B sales role
  • Strong active listening and presentation skills, and the ability to draw parallels between customer needs and company solutions
  • Are selfmotivated, competitive in meeting targets, and thrives in a fastpaced and goal oriented environment
