    Role Summary


    The Senior Instructional Designer, Learning and Development will be primarily accountable for the design of program content within the leadership development framework and its programs, a critical component in executing the long-term learning strategy. This role will work across Divisions and Groups to design new leadership programs, and review and enhance existing programs for all levels of leadership, including executive level, contributing directly to Magna's business and strategic priorities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with SMEs and L&D team to develop practical and engaging learning content, with a focus on designing a new leadership development program and reviewing and enhancing existing programs (for all levels of leadership) to align with Magna's core leadership development framework.
    • Conduct needs analysis, recommend learning strategies, and create materials for new and existing courses.
    • Identify and design evaluation strategies and enhance programs based on results.
    • Utilize blended learning approaches and multimedia tools to create content.
    • Collaborate with Program Managers and L&D Specialists for analysis, regional support, and knowledge sharing.
    • Manage external partnerships (vendors, consultants, universities / colleges) and curate eLearning content to align with objectives.

    Key Qualifications/Requirements

    • Minimum 5 years' instructional design experience with a focus on leadership and business topics.
    • Preferably experienced in complex, decentralized or matrix multinational organizations.
    • Experience in the automotive or manufacturing sector is a plus.
    • Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for different audiences.
    • Efficient project management and organizational skills, handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
    • Detail-oriented and committed to creating high-quality, engaging learning experiences in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience with Articulate 360, learning management systems (ex. Workday Learning), and video creation tools (ex. Biteable) an asset.
