The role of the Ship from Store (SFS) Specialist is to create a positive experience for our online customer through coaching, developing and training store colleagues, managers and peers on the SFS process and standards.

In addition, they will deliver and rollout new initiatives and/or changes to current processes and standards and provide on the job training for new hires.


The SFS Specialists will have a passion for the ecommerce business, proven operational experience, strong communication skills and a desire to make a difference, keeping the customer ecommerce experience top of mind.


The SFS Specialist role reports into the JF Business Unit, however, partners with the Digital Team and Store Operations, supporting District Managers, Store Managers, Department Managers and other store colleagues as required to ensure our ecommerce goals and objectives are achieved, measuring success using our key metrics as business drivers.


What you'll do:


  • Drive Ship from Store financial performance and growth to include the achievement of set out store SFS sales & margin budgets. Using SFS Period End Results and KPI metrics in combination with total department results and metrics (such as sales, inventory, shrink, and sell through) identify and address areas of opportunity. Share weekly and period end results with business partners, calling out successes and opportunities, ensuring action planning is underway to address underperformers.
  • Conduct store visits, analyzing the ship from store business, processes, efficiencies and overall performance. Identify areas of opportunity and address any gaps in performance, procedures, training, determining how variances from policy or strategy should be addressed.
  • Provide store visit feedback to District, Store and Department Managers, offering support and partnering on action plans with timelines for measurable improvement. Follow up and reassess to ensure consistency is long term.
  • In partnership with the Store Operations Team and Peer Specialists, ensure alignment on overall department and backroom standards, partnering on solutions if not on process and impacting ecommerce business.
  • Be a liaison to ensure there is a consistent and concise communication channel with Omni Channel Partners including JF BU, Digital Team, Retail Unity, and Store Operations to resolve day to day issues and sharing feedback received from colleagues and customers in regards to the Joe Fresh website and overall shopping experience.
  • Conduct and participate in conference calls with Omni Channel Partners. Provide weekly feedback to the business unit on results, sharing updates on processes and priorities. Host conference calls with store teams as required to provide business updates, review of results, successes, opportunities and priorities.
  • Work directly with the store teams on SFS scheduling best practices and opportunities to drive efficiency using KPI metrics. This also includes the timely communication of execution plans to guarantee readiness for special events, collaborations, and seasonal events (Black Friday, etc).
  • Champion PI accuracy, keeping it top of mind, driving excellence and growth through inventory management best practices
  • Gather and share feedback to the JF BU as it relates to allocations and availability of inventory, and its impact on SFS results.
  • Travel required in this role is approximately 80%, including overnight, across Canada.
