Job description


In this freelance role, you will be required to interpret (perform spoken translation) in community settings (such as hospitals, the police, tribunal hearings, schools, etc.)

in Toronto between the
English and
Japanese


Soft skills include sensitivity and willingness to support the community by providing a service for vulnerable populations who have linguistic barriers.

If this is your first time doing interpretation, we have a short, online training module available.

Formally trained and language-tested interpreters are also welcome to apply.


Job Types:

Salary:
$20.00 to $25.00 /hour


COVID-19 considerations:
MCIS will be requiring all interpreters to attend in person
assignments to be fully vaccinated.
