Position Summary
This permanent full time position is based in London, Ontario and is responsible for providing solutions to existing customers and building relationships with new potential customers.
- Make direct sales calls (phone and physical) and pursue opportunities within the assigned territory, product line or industry
- Assess customer's specific needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Deliver sales product presentations and participate in joint sales calls and webinars with vendor representatives to promote products and services
- Reviewing RFQ's and contracts from customers, preparing and administering quotes, and proactively following up with customers to ensure they receive superior service.
- Responsible for achieving budgeted sales and bookings of the company's products within the assigned sales territory, product line(s) or industry.
- Responsible for the development work, specification and customer acceptance of products to customers and on projects within the assigned territory, products line(s) or industry.
- Develop fiscal year forecasts and territory, product line(s) or industry plans which support the company's budget and are consistent with the spirit of the company's strategic plan.
- Track and report, as requested by supervisor, all project and/or target customer activity, sales opportunities and competitor activity within the assigned territory, products line(s) or industry.
- Provide sales support and product training to customers at their site.
Skills and Experience
- Post secondary education in Electrical/Electronics an asset.
- Minimum 12 years' experience in selling to endusers, OEM's and contractors.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills. Individual should prioritize and plan work activities efficiently
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and communications skills
