_Accounting and Admin Assistant_
Position Scope
You will have strong prioritizing skills, ability to be a positive team player, and work accurately within tight deadlines.
This is a permanent, part-time position (going to be full-time) based in our Edmonton office. You will be reporting to the CEO.
Education
Should know the operation of Quick book.
Should have college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training;
Completion of University.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing timely and accurate invoicing of customers
- Performing daily coding of all incoming cheques
- Preparing and making bank deposits
- Greeting visitors at reception area and guide them.
- Receiving and logging samples.
- Organizing couriers and packages
- Scanning documents such as AP cheques & backup documents,
- Manage accounts receivable;Manage accounts payable;Prepare financial statements; Prepare bank reconciliations; Prepare payroll
- Coding and processing all credit card statements and employee expenses
- Distributing incoming mail and courier packages & administering outgoing couriers
- Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable as required
- Maintain boardroom and lunchroom
Qualifications
- 1 year (approx.) of previous accounting related work in an office environment preferred
- Typing speed: wpm.
- Excellent problem solving and time management skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Previous experience with Quick Book:
- Ability to work independently.
