    Have a degree (see note 1) OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
    Have recent and significant experience at the managerial level (see note 2):
    In managing human and financial resources

    indicate the number of direct reports, subordinates and the dollar figures of the budgets you directly managed for each position).

    In providing advice and making recommendations to senior officials (see note 3) on policy and/or operational issues at a regional or national level.

    In leading and managing large and complex(see note 4) programs, major projects (see note 5), operations or services related to tax and benefits, such as validation, compliance or verification, while directly reporting to an executive.

    In the operational management of a national tax and benefit program, such as validation, compliance or verification, involving direct delivery of service to Canadians, while directly reporting to an executive.

    Recent and significant experience is normally associated with having performed these functions as part of the major job duties at the management level (such as MG-06, MG-05, AU-05, PM-06, ES-06 or equivalent level) for a period of at least two (2) consecutive years within the last five (5) years.

    Senior officials is considered Director level and above.

    Large and complex is defined as multi-dimensional, involving many stakeholders with competing requirements, and with inherent and emerging risks and impacts.

    A major project would normally be an initiative under the oversight of the Agency's Major Project Investment Oversight Process (MPIOP), or other governmental organization equivalent.

    Individuals occupying a position in the federal government at the EX-01 substantive group and level and individuals currently in the CRA's EX-01 Pre-qualified pool (PQP) must submit an application if they are interested in being considered.


    ASSETS
    Experience managing the delivery of multiple tax programs.
    Experience interpreting and applying tax rules related to tax administration, tax policy and/or taxation program delivery.
    A recognized professional accounting designation or certification (such as chartered accountant, certified management accountant or certified actuary)
    A degree related to the position being staffed (such as a degree in law, economics, tax administration).
    These conditions are required at the time of appointment:

    Depending on the position to be filled, willingness to relocate to the National Capital Region (NCR) may be required.

    Candidates not currently located in the NCR or within commuting distance must indicate in their application their willingness to relocate.

    All appointments (except acting appointments) to and within the Executive (EX) Group at the CRA are subject to the Agreement to be laterally moved provision as a mandatory condition of employment.
