Job Summary:


Reporting to the Director, Global Rewards, the Benefits Administrator will administer and support a variety of employee benefits programs, from group health & dental, leaves and disability, to retirement, savings and wellness programs.

This role also supports data management and reporting related to all plans and associated carriers to ensure compliance with applicable laws in various jurisdictions in the US and Canada.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Completes benefit transactions for new hire enrolments, status changes/life events and terminations to maintain accurate and complete employee benefit data and records in Workday and Payroll systems.
  • Perform regular audits of all systems (payroll, invoices, carrier systems) and partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure data integrity.
  • Produce ad hoc reporting as needed.
  • Work closely with the Benefits Manager to administer the daytoday operations of all Canadian leaves of absences (Maternity, Parental, Short & Long Term Disability, WSIB etc.) in accordance with leave policies and federal/provincial laws and regulations.
  • Work closely with Payroll to ensure accurate pay for employees on leave of absence including coordination with the Short-Term Disability (STD) program. Maintain appropriate contact with all employees on leave to coordinate their return to work.
  • Process transactions in Workday in a timely manner to ensure compliance with state timelines.
  • Partner with Finance in the processing of benefit invoices.
  • Acts as primary liaison between Benefits and Payroll Department for benefitrelated payroll corrections.

Key Qualifications:


  • Must be detailoriented; Very strong attention to detail to isolate audit errors and data discrepancies; Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to manage timeliness with proven experience working under tight deadlines; ability to prioritize work effectively.
  • Knowledge of benefits, retirement & savings and wellness considered an asset.
  • Experience with HRIS, payroll, and benefits vendor system and software is considered an asset.
  • Intermediate level Microsoft Excel skills. (including ability to do VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables)
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Maintains a highdegree of confidentiality relative to personal data, salary data and associate benefits information maintained in the HRIS system.
