We are looking for a IT System Administrator to join our expanding Information Technology Team within our Leamington, ON, Canada Operations.


Job Summary


The Information Technology System Administrator is responsible for effectively planning the operational growth as well as identifying, selecting, and deploying the appropriate technology resources that will support corporate goals and objectives.

Other duties may be assigned as necessary. The system Administrator will work with and support the service Desk on all levels.


Responsibilities:


  • Primary point of contact for all IT vendors.
  • Responsible for monitoring and responding to open tickets submitted through Connect Wise
  • Troubleshoot and escalate alerts that cannot be resolved to appropriate section
  • Prioritize and handle service requests and incidents.
  • Progress issues and provide relevant information for troubleshooting or for clarification.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to departmental initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with Account Managers on change requests, managing issues and establishing priorities.
  • Handle late night and weekend emergency support on as required
  • Resolve system problems.
  • Responsible for optimizing business process for many departments.
  • Develop scripts working with team to automate repeatable manual tasks
  • Familiar with the famous integration process
  • Responsible for ensuring Famous is functional and updates have been implemented.
  • Familiar with Famous Inventory and dry goods
  • Provide suggestion to improve Data visibility across all sites
  • Proficient understanding of Cisco networking hardware, concepts, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiar with Citrix and Terminal Services.
  • Knowledge of ERP software and technology
  • Ability to install, configure, operate, and maintain Operating Systems including Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016/2019, VMware ESXi 7.0, & Linux.
  • Familiar with Azure with office 365 and clouding service.
  • Ability to support a Dell & Lenovo desktop/laptop environment with an emphasis on customer service.
  • Operational knowledge of Active Directory, DNS and VMware vCenter.
  • Familiar with the latest technology such as Citrix, FSlogix, WEM,
  • Working knowledge of Installing, Configuring and Administrating Citrix system.
  • Windows PowerShell knowledge is a must.

Requirements:


  • A degree, diploma or certificate in Computer Science, Network Technologies, or related discipline (required)
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience providing IT Support (required)
  • Strong networking knowledge and experience (preferred)
  • Project management skills and the ability to handle different tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiar with MS project or other project management tools
  • Proven ability to work in a fastpaced environment, demonstrate keen attention to detail and taskrelated accuracy, as well as consistent followthrough skills.
  • Able to work in a team environment with individuals of all leadership styles, personalities, and career levels.
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of private information.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Must be a high energy individual who is selfmotivated.
  • Oncall flexibility required
  • Other core expectations as defined by the company.

Working Conditions:


  • Hours of work may vary depending on business needs; ability and willingness to travel with no travel restrictions
  • Role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Specific vision capabilities required; employee is to work in front of a computer, sitting for prolonged periods
