Opportunity:

APEX is currently looking for a PS Executive to fill the role of APEX Lead - Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI).

We are seeking an enthusiastic professional, with significant applied research experience who is well versed in equity, diversity and inclusion opportunities and challenges.

This is both a strategic and operational position in our organization.


Position Dimensions and Impact to APEX (broader executive community): This position has specific duties that impact APEX, including timely and comprehensive insight into and perceptions around equity and diversity on the implementation of APEX's corporate plan and marketing strategy. In addition, the position has responsibilities of informing advocacy and program development and is key in identifying and proposing approaches to address executive leadership challenges and opportunities. Additional duties include providing evidence based applied research in support of advocacy for equity, diversity and inclusion as impacting Public Service Executives.


Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement APEX EDI framework and workplan, as aligned with the APEX Vision (An executive community with elevated wellness, elite leaders and extraordinary impacts through partnerships) and Mission.

This may include the planning and executing of surveys and research; communicating with executives in exploring key EDI issues, barriers, best practices affecting the EX-cadre and identifying recommendations; development of evidence-based positions; providing input toward programming; development of approaches to support executives' career management and at times supporting Advisory Services in their support of the individual executive.


Partner and liaise with networks (in supporting advancement, development, and leadership of executive cadre as well as EX feeder groups.) This may include support in delivery of collaborative efforts.

Through evidence-based research and environmental scans, inform advocacy positioning regarding EDI direction / initiatives impacting the executive cadre.

Workplace:


As we transition toward the APEX Workplace of the Future, staff are being encouraged to plan on spending more days working in the office for day-to-day operations.

New APEX employees will need to commit to 40% in-office presence.

While APEX transitions for employees in the NCR, telework agreements in support of regional inclusion are possible.
