The Opportunity:

***The purpose of the Accounts Receivable Supervisor is to review and oversee all
Accounts Receivable and lead
Collection activities. This role also includes responsibilities for timely and accurate accounting and
financial reporting.


What you'll be doing:


  • Review all accounts receivable for all triOS College campuses in Ontario and Eastern College campuses in Atlantic Canada.
  • Provide guidance, support and assistance to Financial Aid Officers related to collection activity.
  • Contact and follow up with students who are no longer in school, or who are in school and significantly behind on their payments.
  • Work with the Financial Aid Officers and Campus Directors in addressing student accounts receivable and collection issues.
  • Negotiate payment settlements and/or payment plans with students who did not complete their program.
  • Process and send collection letters to students.
  • Process student credit proposal and bankruptcy claims.
  • Produce monthly reports regarding collection activity.
  • Investigate and resolve any Microsoft Great Plains to CRM (XCAS) integration or staging table issues related to AR and receipts.
  • Administer EduPay extended payment plan.
  • Calculate monthly commissions for Education Consultants.
  • Monthly sales and commissions reporting.
  • Process corrections and adjustments to student payment schedules in Microsoft Great Plains.
  • Assist Controller with cash flow forecasting related to AR and Collections.
  • Assist with annual financial audits, as well as any government audits as required.

What you bring to the position:

  • College diploma or University degree in accounting or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting and/or collections.
  • Collections experience working directly with consumers is preferred.
  • Experience leading employees will be considered an asset.
  • Strong decisionmaking skills and ability to negotiate payment plan solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is an asset. Strong management skills, excellent oral and written communication skills.
