Job Title:
Repairs & Maintenance (Part-Time)
Job Summary:
Repairs and Maintenance completes a wide range of required repairs and maintenance tasks at a variety of worksites. Manages multiple properties to minimize potential damages, and ensure longevity, safety, and overall appearance.
Reports to:
Controller of Finance and Administration
Hours:20-25 Hours/Week - Flexible Schedule (Occasional mandatory appointments or emergency repairs)
Travel:
All travel between first and last worksite is reimbursed at $0.52/km
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor, Review, Update Repair/Maintenance List on Sharevision
- Complete all approved Repair Notice's in a timely manner in priority sequence
- Complete all approved Maintenance Tasks in a timely manner in priority sequence
- Conduct regular inspections and submit unreported Repair Notices into Sharevision for approval
- Coordinate with professionals, obtain quotes for approval and oversee repair
- If tech savvy, complete computer maintenance and repairs (not a requirement)
General Responsibility
- General Repairs and Maintenance for Residential Group Homes
- Wall repair, patch and paint
- Securely mount/hang pictures, TVs, electronics
- Lawn and garden maintenance
- Snow removal
- Assemble Furniture
- Minor plumbing repairs
- Minor electrical repairs
- Dump Runs
- Help with moving (packing, moving, unpacking)
- Inspect vehicles, complete minor repairs
- Pest control
Qualifications, Job Skills and Abilities:
- Must have Repairs and Maintenance Experience
- Current Drivers License & Reliable Vehicle
- Own tools (specialty tools may be provided when needed)
- Skills to complete a wide range of repairs
- Construction/Contractor experience is an asset
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Ability to organize work and carry out the duties of the position with independence.
- Ability to meet deadlines and respond to emergency repairs
- Computer skills (Asset)
- Proficient organization, time and general management skills.
- Non-Canadians will be required to provide evidence of landed immigrant status or work visas/permits.
Additional Information:
Must be physically able to complete labour intensive tasks.
Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent, Casual, Freelance
Part-time hours: 15-25 per week
Salary:
$25.00-$35.00 per hour
