Summary:
We are currently recruiting for a
Motor Operated Valve (MOV) Reliability Specialist to work within the Spartan Valve & Measurement Reliability Solutions Team.
The role provides a motivated individual the opportunity to build a unique skillset, real-world experience working with Emerson/Spartan technologies at customer sites and deliver differentiated value in the market.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Becoming an expert in MOV operation & maintenance, for both Spartan and 3rd party actuator technologies
- Becoming an expert level user of MOV diagnostics tools & software
- Becoming an expert level user of Emerson's DCMLink software
- Becoming an expert diagnostics analysis specialist
- Execution of MOV diagnostics & analysis at customer facilities
- Conducting comprehensive field assessments of instrument & valve assets, with a primary focus on MOV's, and recommend enhancements for improved reliability.
- Develop, enhance, and support the Customer's maintenance and reliability work processes through the utilization of Emerson technologies and Spartan best practices
- Collaborating closely with crossfunctional teams to identify and pursue strategic opportunities in MOV reliability.
- Deliver and quantify Customer value.
- Provide handson training and mentorship on the utilization of Spartan technologies, both with Customers and Internal Spartan resources
- Participate in the development, optimization and execution of instrument and valve turnaround scope
Qualifications and Skills:
- Engineering Degree, Electrical Technologist Diploma or Electrical Journeyperson designation from an accredited institution
- 3+ Years industry experience in an operating process facility or OEM valve assembly/repair shop is an asset
- Experience working with Motor Operated Valves
- Experience in a Maintenance or Reliability Specialist role is an asset.
- Experience working with AMS Device Manager software is an asset
- Proven Customer service skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Highly motivated and innovative
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other Spartan Teams
- Growth & results oriented.
- Entrepreneurial work ethic
- This role requires flexibility and the ability to travel on a regular basis
