Description

RAM is looking for an experienced Machinist with a flexibility to work a variety of hours which may include days, evenings, and weekends based on business requirements to operate a manual lathe & milling machine.

Hours of work may vary from 16 hours to 20 hours a week depending on the production schedule.

Responsibilities

Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes and mills.
Perform machining within required tolerances including thread repairs.
Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects.
Must be able to follow written directions as issued by the production team (Including Work Orders, Production Instructions etc.) with little or no supervision.
Responsible for completing machining and manufacturing projects assigned by the Production Head
Maintain stock of machined parts through Kanban system.
Ensure processes and machine operations are performed in accordance with safety regulations and are carried out in a conscientious manner.
Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety standards.

Qualifications

35 years experience of doing machining.
Must have own tools basic hand & measuring (Caliper, Micrometer)
Ability to set up, operate and troubleshoot production runs.
Ability to read and interpret drawings.
Must have accurate documentation and measuring skills.
Mechanical aptitude and great understanding of tapered threads and blueprints
Selfmotived, highly organized, detailoriented
Must be able to read/speak English.
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
Should be able to lift up to 50 lbs unaided.
Reliable transportation

Salary:
$20.00-$28.00 per hour
