Under the direction of the Project Manager, the Carpenter will work closely with insurance professionals, businesses and home owners to ensure property is restored quickly, efficiently, and with care.
Job Duties:
- Full range of rough and finished skilled carpentry work
- Maintenance and repair
- Window and door board ups
- Installation of facets, toilets, sinks.
- Simple electrical work such as reset of light fixtures
- Installation of baseboards, cabinets, casings doors
- Installation of drywall (boarding and taping)
- Paint touch ups and finishing work
- Experience in textured ceilings
- Suspended ceiling installation
- Assemble of client furniture
- Tiling
- Installation of counter tops
- Blinds installation
- Framing
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience working in commercial, residential, industrial setting
- Valid class 5 driver's license and acceptable, recent drivers abstract
- Undergo a Criminal Reference Check
- Steel Toe boots
- Own tools
Work Conditions:
- Carpenters usually work a 40hour, fiveday week plus overtime when required.
- Working conditions change dramatically from one job to another, varying from indoors in clean conditions to outdoors on scaffolding, and to confined and restricted locations.
