    The purpose of this job is to fulfil the Unix/Linux Engineer position.

    This is a hands-on Linux/Solaris position where the individual will be responsible for overseeing and managing the design and implementation of Unix/Linux solutions.

    In addition, this engineer will be primarily responsible for vulnerability remediation and providing 2nd and 3rd level support for all Server issues or outages.

    Ensures the smooth operation of the infrastructure to provide maximum security, performance, and availability. Maintains close vendor relationships to support current technology solutions and provide roadmap strategies for all Unix systems.
    The candidate also must be flexible to work in 24*7 environments.
    Install & Configure Linux/Solaris System

    • Develop & maintain configuration management solutions.
    • monitor system performance; Asset Inventory maintaining; Provide Architecture Design, Develop and Implementation for all Linux/Unix (including monitoring & reporting tools) and maintaining the same.
    • Manage projects related to implementing Cyber Security tools and products.
    Perform other Linux/Unix tasks as assigned.
    Track and manage licenses status for renewal, upgrade, and compliance of all devices.
    Resolve operational incident tickets (P1/P2/P3) or service request as per the agreed SLA.

    • Work with the Genpact, CACIB or 3 rd party teams for the implementation of changes
    • Follow the required policies and procedures for the incident, problem and change management.
    • Monitoring Management
    • Provide guidance and support to team members.
    Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience

    • Graduate or postgraduate in any stream with course in Computers or IT stream
    • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure and Troubleshooting
    Hands-on Experience with Linux/Solaris Servers & Linux Servers in virtualized Environments

    • Familiar with HPE & Oracle (SPARC) Hardware (Servers)
    • Familiar with fundamentals of Linux/Solaris Scripts
    • Proficient with network tools like iptables, LINUX IPVS, Solaris IPMP
    • Familiar with METIS which is a tool to track requests & changes & CMDB (inventory).
    • Knowledge of Linux/Unix Physical and Virtual servers
    • Prior financial services or other highly regulated industry experience
