Logistics Coordinator
Job Duties
- Negotiate Freight Tenders: Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, and suppliers to negotiate freight tenders for lanes across but not limited to; Canada, the USA, and the Caribbean.
- Analyze shipping routes, carrier capabilities, and market trends to secure costeffective transportation solutions without compromising on quality and service.

Incoming Shipments:
Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to our locations and clients' destinations.
- Monitor shipment status and handle any potential issues, ensuring efficient tracking and tracing of all shipments.
- Obtain Freight Quotes: Source and acquire freight quotes for projects and daytoday shipments that fall outside the scope of negotiated lanes.
- Evaluate quotes based on cost, delivery times, and service levels, making informed decisions to optimize transportation strategies.
- Streamline Shipments with Procurement: Collaborate closely with the procurement team to align incoming and outgoing shipments with inventory needs and production schedules.
- Continuously assess and improve shipping processes to enhance overall efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and uptodate records of shipment details, and related documentation.
- Billing Discrepancies: Investigate overcharges as identified by accounting.
- Other duties as assigned and required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in logistics.
- Hands on experience with cross border shipments and documentation requirements.
- Familiarity with transportation regulations, customs procedures, and industry best practices.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to make datadriven decisions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detailoriented with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle timesensitive situations effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
$62,000.00 per year
