Lifting Equipment Field Inspector Trainee - Calgary, Canada - Kova Engineering South Ltd.

Kova Engineering South Limited is currently seeking a full-time, entry-level field inspector in Calgary, Alberta.

Preference will be given to applicants with non-destructive examination training (NDT foundation program), certifications (MT2, UT1, or CWB1), recent Engineering Technologist graduates, or applicants with 3+ years continuous, full-time, work experience in heavy industrial or construction.

We will provide on the job training, job-related courses, and job-related certifications.


The responsibilities of the successful applicant will include, but not be limited to the following:

• Visual Inspections and NDE (Non-Destructive Examination) of cranes and other construction/oilfield equipment.
• Technical report writing.
• Maintain positive customer relations and participate in the promotion of the company.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• High degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail in all aspects of work.
• Fast learner, strong work ethic, and desire to grow professionally.
• Selfmotivated and able to work with mínimal supervision.
• Comfortable working outside yearround, at heights, and in shop/industrial environments.
• Clean driving record.

Work Hours:

• Monday through Friday, 40 Hours per week (Salary).
• Majority of work will be in Calgary, Alberta.
• Intermittent out of town work. Typically, 15 to 30 days per year in various towns and cities around Southern Alberta.
• Occasional evening and weekend work will be required (Overtime).
