Description
The EWP/Joist and Beam Cutter is an integral part of our team. The cutter is responsible for producing Engineered Floor System packages in a timely manner.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safe handling of chainsaw and material
  • Cut and package material with mínimal waste
  • Time management skills and ability to work independently
  • Able to keep paperwork and work section organized
  • Operate a forklift in a safe and controlled manner
  • Keep work area clean and free of tripping hazards
  • Load and unload 60footlong lifts of material
  • Ensuring always in compliance with WorkSafe Standards

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous carpentry experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of building supply products is an asset
  • Ability to perform job duties that involve stretching, bending, lifting, and carrying objects of varying weights
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
  • Must be comfortable using a large chain saw
  • Experience with yard tools (load banders, truck straps, etc.)
  • Extensive forklift experience required
