JOB PURPOSE:


Responsible for involvement in all aspects of Human Resources throughout the company including; recruitment, retention, health & safety, and company culture.

This role is fast-paced and highly dynamic with a wide range of duties and continuous improvement opportunities.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Posting and reposting jobs on various online job boards such as Indeed, LinkedIn, and MPC's company website
  • Assist in creating and updating all Human Resources policies and procedures
  • Creating and updating job descriptions for all positions within the company
  • Plan, promote, and host company events throughout the year
  • General administrative duties related to onboarding, offboarding, and record upkeep
  • Conduct compensation analyses several times throughout the year for all roles within the company, providing data and suggesting compensation changes to remain competitive with current market ranges
  • Scheduling and conducting orientation onboarding for newhires
  • Manage inventory of uniforms, IT equipment, and other companywide resources
  • Create and provide training as needed for both Team Members and managers on various skills and legislation related to wellness, interpersonal skills, or human resources policies and laws
  • Record keeping related to training, licenses, and certificates
  • Facilitate quarterly Town Halls, following up with members of management and executive leadership to ensure timely completion of content
  • Analyze data to determine and record monthly KPI's related to Human Resources, Culture, and Health & Safety
  • Provide support to the Joint Health & Safety Committee
  • Remain uptodate on all municipal, federal, and provincial Health & Safety regulations and implement within MPC accordingly
  • Promote MPC's core values and actively contribute to a positive and rewarding team environment
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Post-Secondary Education in Business Administration or Human Resources
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and willing to learn new programs as necessary
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable speaking to a large group of people
  • Ability to multitask in a fastpaced, everchanging environment
  • Strong sense of initiative with the ability to take on new projects with the goal of closing gaps and implementing continuous improvement
