Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools (GSCS) is Saskatchewan's largest Catholic school division, serving over 22,000 students across 50 schools in Saskatoon, Biggar, Humboldt, Warman and Martensville. We are committed to a robust response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action and to partnership with First Nations, Métis and Inuit families and communities. With a student population of more than 3,200 Indigenous students, together, we have developed a variety of programs to foster Indigenous student belonging, participation, and success. This includes a kindergarten to grade nine Cree Bilingual program at St. Frances Cree Bilingual School, Michif language programming at St. Michael Community School, cultural programming at Oskayak High School, a state-of-the-art fitness facility at E. D. Feehan Catholic High School, as well as a nationally recognized social pediatrics program at St. Mary's Wellness and Education Centre.

Individuals applying for these roles should possess the following:

Saskatchewan Professional A Teacher's Certificate

Knowledge and experience applying best practices in the areas of instruction, curriculum, environment and assessment

Knowledge of First Nations, Métis and Inuit languages, histories and cultures

Association with First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities, kinship and organizations

Demonstrated ability to work well within a team as well as independently

Commitment to the principles of Catholic Education

Preference will be extended to graduates of ITEP, SUNTEP, First Nations University of Canada and other Indigenous teacher education programs
