Legal Counsel, Commercial Transactions, Canada - Mississauga, Canada - TD SYNNEX

Job Purpose:
To advise the senior management team on all aspects of commercial contracts law with particular focus on advising, negotiating and
drafting.
As a senior negotiator for the company, able to handle all transactional negotiations for Canada, as well as general Canadian law queries.
Responsibilities:
- Management of complex legal issues and delivery of clear pragmatic legal advice.
- Responsibility for the review including the drafting, negotiating and concluding of vendor contracts, customer contracts, e nsure that all agreements comply with TD SYNNEX's policies.
- Creation of precedent contracts and forms.
- Identify management information requirements for the measurement of legal risk exposure and performance for internal
- Ensure that legal service and support (both internally and externally) provided to the business is of the highest standard and
- Ensure that all aspects of legal risk are identified covered and controlled in the implementation of all contracts and internal
- Supporting any other legal duties as required by your line manager.
- Maintain knowledge of data protection and competition law also an understanding of environmental law and regulatory compliance.
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
- Attorney in good standing with 35 years experience and with a commercial background. Largely working autonomously, with the
- Guidance and support of their direct manager and the Transactional group's management team.
- High level of thinking and problemsolving capability and be capable of working under heavy stress and shifting priorities.
- Organised, methodical and working closely with all parts of the business.
- Executing against tight deadlines and high expectations in a highpressure environment.
- Excellent communication skills. English mastery required. Knowledge of Canadian French a plus but not required.
- Attention to detail, accurate and precise.
- Organisation, time and task management
- A cando attitude to getting the job done.
- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely verbally and in writing at all levels
- Ability to build effective working relationships with senior level management and the sales teams and managing all key stakeholders.
- Excellent record keeping skills.
- Ability to research and keep current with relevant areas of law.
- Ability to negotiate with external parties to bring matters to a successful conclusion.
