Overview:


Pembina Pipeline Corporation's Sherwood Park office is currently recruiting for an Operational Technology (OT) Analyst to join the OT Infrastructure team.

This position reports to the Supervisor, OT Infrastructure in the Information Services Unit (ISU).

Responsibilities:


Reporting to the Supervisor, OT Infrastructure, the position will be accountable for the maintenance, upkeep, security, monitoring and ongoing development of the existing SCADA hardware, architecture, network and peripherals, as well as participate in new pipeline and system initiatives at the project level.


Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Installation, configuration and patching of operating systems and software on IT/OT devices;
  • Hardware installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of servers, workstations, switches, routers, and related equipment;
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and administrate database hardware and software;
  • Manage user and group permissions across different domains;
  • Maintain proper operation and expansion of server backup infrastructure;
  • Implement and manage cybersecurity controls to protect the OT infrastructure from external and internal threats;
  • Collaborate and coordinate with Pembina's SCADA, Field Communication, Operations, Information Technology, and Engineering teams to plan and execute various tasks;
  • Ensure regulatory compliance by following processes and completing documentation;
  • Contribute to the development of process and procedure documentation;
  • Enable, champion, and embrace an inclusive and diverse workplace; and
  • Flexibility to provide afterhours support and occasional offsite work will be necessary, given that our pipelines are operated and monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Job Qualifications:


  • Infrastructure experience involving progressively more challenging responsibilities in a High Availability OT or IT environment;
  • Preference given for degree, diploma or certification in computer science, computer engineering technology, network engineering technology, electrical engineering, etc.;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interactions with all levels of operations and technical stakeholders;
  • Strong technical understanding of AVEVA Enterprise SCADA, hardware and OT networks is an asset;
  • Experience with administrating host servers and associated virtual machines, including patch management and endpoint detection and response (EDR);
  • Solid understanding of database administration concepts, including: installation, configuration, performance tuning, and backup and recovery;
  • Experience in configuring, implementing, and maintaining MQTT brokers, clients, and gateways in industrial settings would be beneficial;
  • Valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license;
  • ITIL 4 Certification is an asset; and
  • Certifications in relevant areas, such as CompTIA Security+, GIAC GISCP, CISSP, are an asset.
